The following Family Guy episodes are some of the best that the long-running show has to offer. Yet, when the show is at its very best, few comedies can come close to matching it. With over 350 of them, there are bound to be some that are a little underwhelming. That's not to say that every episode is a winner, mind.

The Seth MacFarlane animated sitcom has managed to maintain an audience since its debut in 1999. After Stewie gives a speech that falls on deaf ears, Brian reveals he patched up Rupert for him.The 21st century has already seen some fantastic comedy series, but few are able to match Family Guy when it comes to either fame or longevity. In " Get Stewie", Rupert is killed when fans of MEBR blow up Stewie's big wheel. Stewie's preschool teacher, Miss Tammy, allows him to use the hyphenated name of Griffin-Suarez in recognition of his relationship with Rupert in " The Birthday Bootlegger". That night, Brian replaces Rupert for Stewie, who believes his old friend has returned.
Stewie becomes injured in the fighting and Brian builds a litter to carry him along to a mountaintop for Stewie to scatter the ashes as planned, re-bonding in the process. Stewie heads to Vermont to scatter Rupert's ashes and Brian tags along to keep an eye on him, enraging him even more until they fight and he reveals that he destroyed Rupert on purpose. In a fit of jealousy in " Dog Bites Bear", Brian destroys Rupert and causes a big rift between himself and Stewie. In " Stewie, Chris & Brian's Excellent Adventure", Rupert tells the other stuffed animals that he is straight, despite Stewie's playing. Burns, who is holding his own teddy bear, Bobo. In the courtroom scene in " The Simpsons Guy", Stewie is seen holding Rupert next to Mr. Rupert is recalled by the toy company in " Total Recall" and Stewie launches an all-out effort to recover him before he is destroyed. In a DVD exclusive scene in " Excellence in Broadcasting", Stewie explores the experience of masturbating and in his fantasy buff Rupert makes out with an equally buff Brian while Stewie is tied to the bed. During these dreams, Rupert is voiced by David Boat. However, Rupert retains his Teddy Bear head. Stewie has also imagined Rupert as a muscular, human male a few times, including in " Road to the North Pole", where he builds a buff Rupert snowman in the opening credit sequence. Stewie accused Rupert of choosing to watch the boys in " Road to Rhode Island" as opposed to watching their bags as Stewie has told him to, much to Stewie's chagrin. Stewie had several times referred to him as gay. " 8 Simple Rules for Buying My Teenage Daughter" had the creation of "Stewpert", a being where Stewie and Rupert were fused together after Stewie activated his teleportation device before he realized Rupert was inside, in reference to Brundlefly of The Fly. In " Chick Cancer", when Stewie married Olivia Fuller, he had Rupert officiate the ceremony. At the end of the episode, Stewie is shown crying in the shower and washing Rupert in despair, constantly reassuring him that it wasn't his fault.
Stewie is then shown dragging a body into the garbage, later revealed to be New Brian. In " The Man with Two Brians", he is humped by New Brian for two hours. In " Lois Comes Out of Her Shell", Sheldon tears Rupert's head off and leaves it in a box for Stewie to find. In " Killer Queen", Stewie shoots Rupert in the head with a gun rather than risking letting him die a worse death when he sees the cover of a Queen album. Also, in " A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' Christmas", Stewie tears Rupert in two, after waking up from a Santa Claus-themed nightmare. It also seems that when Rupert doubles as a gun, his head needs to be ripped off, and Lois seems to fix that by the next scene in the episode. Rupert was torn to shreds but was later fixed by Lois. The second time involved encountering an unfamiliar Rottweiler dog in " Stewie Loves Lois". The first time in a flashback in " Stu & Stewie's Excellent Adventure", Stewie argued with Brian about the economy and Brian decided to eat one of Rupert's legs Stewie got the leg back after a while. Rupert is first seen as a brown teddy bear, but in later episodes, he appears more orange.
